In a computer, Random Access Memory (RAM) is like the machine’s short-term memory. But I was inspired by the interplay between short-term computer memory and long-term human memory. Those moments that just pop up, randomly. The smells that take us miles away and years back, to that exact set of coordinates in space and time. Remember the way those fireworks looked that evening? Remember that line about lasers from that one TV show? Remember the smell of that day of summer break, lime and chlorine and sunscreen and friends?

It feels random. But you remember now, don’t you?
