Dichroic glass art
What is this wizardry?
Dichroic (two-color) glass reflects one wavelength and allows another to pass through. Dark magic is typically not involved, but vaporized metal oxides, which are applied to glass in a vacuum chamber to produce the effect, admittedly sound a bit alchemic. Each piece of dichroic glass is unique since the process, similar to the formation of a gemstone, is never fully predictable. So meta(L).
Those who live in glass houses
…should wear mad SPF.
My pieces highlight the nature of ongoing change, draw attention to our connection to sunlight and our planet, and celebrate every color on the spectrum, from riotously vivid to demurely pastel.
